Social Promotion for Blog Post #2- Apple v/s Sony on Twitter


Apple- It was really shocking for me that (Apple hasn't Tweeted) yet. It is noticeable that the huge technology tycoon Apple, is not active on twitter which can be a kind of suspicious promotional strategy. I came to know about this strategy when I started going in the depth. Apple is having some other twitter accounts as well such as iTunes, iBook, iMusic and many more. Every Apple official application is having its individual department and individual  twitter accounts as well. By doing this Apple is actually is making itself the master in all streams on twitter. They tweet, post and respond in different ways from all different active accounts. This also helps to gain really very huge number of followers on all the official Apple twitter accounts.


Sony- Sony is using its smartphone series name Xperia in their official twitter page. They are having a bold and attractive outlooks which attracts many users. They have a 1.07 followers which is actually less than Apple. Sony has 64.9K tweets which shows that company is really working hard to be update with the changing technology and they do share all the events, product launches, upgrades, videos with the users. Now a days company is mainly focusing on its new smartphone promotion which is XperiaXZ2. Their latest tweet regarding its latest smartphone has got 1.4k likes and almost 500 retweets which actually helps to promote for free.


Conclusion- Apple uses smart promotion strategies of splitting the content and gaining users interest by tweeting their posts differently on the different pages but Sony tweets up all the major events and activities.
